Wombwell Christmas Cup - 13th & 14th Dec 2025 - MightE Cadet - Christmas Cup Winner!!

The Christmas Cup at Wombwell Karting was a fitting way to bring the 2025 season to a close, ending the year on a real high. From the outset, the pace was strong and confidence in the kart was high, which showed across the meeting.
Heat 1 started from pole position, and a clean launch immediately set the tone. With good pace from the opening laps, I was able to control the race, maintain momentum, and manage the gap to the rest of the field, bringing the kart home in P1.
Heat 2 was more challenging. Starting P6, the aim was to work forward steadily, but seven laps in got to P3, I was taken out on the start/finish straight in an incident that was completely out of my control. The session was red-flagged, resulting in a DNF despite showing competitive pace up to that point.
In Heat 3, starting from P4, I was able to quickly move through the field with confident overtakes and consistent lap times. Once in the lead, the focus shifted to race management, maintaining clean lines and strong rhythm to secure another P1 finish.
The Final saw me start from pole position once again. A strong start allowed me to pull away early, creating a gap to the pack and settling into clear air. From there, the race was fully under control, extending the lead and closing out the meeting with a dominant win. The weekend was capped off with a new personal best lap time of 38.1
I would like to thank my 2025 sponsors, BAS Vehicle Adaptations, Apex Doma Ltd, MightE Motorsport, Cas Metals Ltd, MPE Automotive, Chrome nw ltd, and Macclesfield Maintenance Plumbing and Heating, for all of your support throughout the year. Without your belief in me and your financial backing, this season and its successes would not have been possible.
A big thank you also goes to my coach, AJ Lassu for an awesome year. Your guidance, patience, and commitment have made a huge difference, helping me become a much happier, calmer, and smoother driver both on and off the track.
MightE powertrain has also proven that no matter how deep your pockets are, the racing remains equal, success comes down to the quality of the setup and the driver behind the wheel.
Overall, the Wombwell Christmas Cup was an excellent way to finish the year, with three wins from four races, strong recovery after adversity, and clear evidence of progress and consistency heading into the next season.
