Qualifying didn’t go to plan. Running on new tyres and making the wrong wheel choice meant I struggled to extract the pace I knew was there, and unfortunately I went backwards, finishing P9.

In Heat 1, I kept my head down and worked hard to make progress, moving forward from P9 to P7 with some solid, consistent laps.

Heat 2 was a big step in the right direction. With improved confidence and race craft, I pushed on and made more places, finishing P5 after starting P9. A positive end to the day with good forward momentum heading into Sunday.
