My name is James Hudson, I’m 9 years old and I race under JH43 Racing.

I started outdoor karting around 14 months ago and have just completed my first full season competing at national level in the Super One Championship, racing in Rotax Micro Max with XKart.

My first national season has been an amazing experience. I achieved my first national podium, picked up multiple trophy finishes, won the Top Rookie award at Clay Pigeon, and finished 9th overall out of 42 drivers in the championship.

I love everything about motorsport. I’m always trying to learn and improve, whether that’s on track, working with my coach and team, practising on the simulator or watching racing and learning from other drivers.

For 2027, my goal is to take the next step by moving up to Rotax Inter Max, and we are hoping to compete in The Kart Championship (TKC). It will be a new challenge with a faster kart and tougher competition, but I’m really excited to see what I can achieve.

My biggest dream is to one day become a professional racing driver and race cars, but I know there is a long way to go and a lot to learn before then.

Karting is expensive, especially when competing nationally, so my family and I are looking for businesses and supporters who would like to become part of my journey. Any support we receive helps give me more opportunities to get out on track, race, learn and continue developing as a driver.

For me, it’s not just about putting a logo on my kart. I’d love to build genuine relationships with the people and businesses who support me, represent them proudly on and off the track, and hopefully take them along on the journey with me.
