About
Ashleigh grew up in Dollar, Scotland, close to Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife. Her interest in rallying began after a passenger ride in a rally car at Knockhill. She sat her BARS test at Knockhill and started out her rally career in the co-driver's seat, navigating in a diverse range of cars including a MkII Escort, Metro 6R4, Subaru Impreza and a Darrian T9.
In July 2016 she took to the driver’s seat for the first time for the Enville Stages at Anglesey Circuit, finishing second in class before taking part in her first championship, finishing second in Class A in the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship 2016/17.
Ashleigh then progressed to her current Fiesta R200, taking part in a variety of Tarmac rallies across the UK and finishing 2nd in Class B in the Motorsport News Circuit Rally Championship 19/20.
In 2021 Ashleigh returned to her roots to compete in Scotland in the Scottish Rally Championship, taking on her first closed road event at the Argyll Rally, and tackling the forests for her first time in her Fiesta. The year was a steep learning curve and Ashleigh was delighted to finish third in class M3 and to secure the Scottish Ladies' Rally title.
Alongside her rallying, Ashleigh achieved a Master's Degree with Distinction in Automotive Journalism and has a wide variety of experience in marketing in the automotive and motorsport industries, including working with Jaguar Land Rover, Triumph Motorcycles, Knockhill Racing Circuit, Cartersport and Pacenotes Rally Magazine.
