Hi Future Partners, Sponsors & Supporters!
I'm Margiris, a 12-year-old British-Lithuanian kart and sim racing driver competing in the IAME Waterswift (Mini X30) category in 2025. My ambition is simple: to progress step by step through karting and build the foundations needed to reach the highest levels of motorsport.
I first drove a rental kart at the age of eight and immediately discovered a passion for racing. From my first races at local club level, I was competing against drivers as old as 16, and learning fast. I began winning races, summer and winter championships, setting lap records and moving through the levels quicker than expected.
By the age of nine, I became the youngest-ever race winner in Club 100, learning racecraft, consistency and how to fight through the field under pressure. In 2024, I stepped into Honda Cadet for what was intended to be a learning year. Competing against drivers up to two years older, I finished as British Vice Champion, earned British Rookie of the Year, secured multiple race wins and pole positions, and became the first Lithuanian driver to win a British Kart Championship event. All of this was achieved with just me as the driver and my step-dad as the mechanic, on a very limited budget.
In 2025, I moved into IAME Waterswift, Europe’s most competitive category for my age group. With limited experience, minimal testing and old used equipment, I steadily improved throughout the season, achieving podiums, top-five finishes in the British Kart Championship and finishing as British Kart Championship Top Privateer. Again, all of this was achieved with just me as the driver and my step-dad as the mechanic, on a budget up to 10x lower than my competitors.
Alongside racing, I have developed a strong technical understanding through working closely with Apollo Karts to help turn a brand-new chassis into a race-winning package through detailed driver feedback. This experience has accelerated my growth both on and off the track.
Some of my career highlights to date, include;
· ⏱️ Lap record holder at Herefordshire Raceway (Local Track)
· 🏆 Youngest-ever Club 100 race winner (age 9)
· 🥈 British Honda Cadet Vice Champion (2024)
· 🏆 British Honda Cadet Rookie of the Year (2024)
· 🇱🇹 First Lithuanian driver to win a British Kart Championship event
· 🏎️ Multiple British Championship race wins & pole positions (2024)
· ⭐ UK Kart Series Champion (2024)
· 🏁 Multiple IAME Waterswift podiums (2025)
· 🏆 British Kart Championship Top Privateer (2025)
· 🛠️ Key development driver for Apollo Karts (IAME, Honda & Rotax)
· ⏱️ Pole positions, wins & lap records across three engine classes
I am fully committed to continuous improvement and long-term progression, and I look forward to building the next chapter of my racing career with the right people alongside me.
Kind regards,
Margiris Koveckis

For the 2026 season, Margiris has been given an opportunity of a place with a highly respected team in the IAME paddock who believe in his potential and are willing to support him during the 2026 campaign. It’s a huge step forward in his journey and one we are incredibly proud of. Although the team is offering valuable discounts and support, the reality of competitive karting is that the costs remain significant. We estimate the full season will cost in excess of £35,000. Margiris’s step-dad Stuart is committed to funding as much of the season as physically possible, around £20,000, because we truly believe in giving Margiris every chance to chase his dreams. Even so, this still leaves a shortfall of £15,000. That gap is the reason for this goal. Any support, no matter the size, would mean more than we can properly put into words. It would help keep Margiris on the grid, racing against the best, and continuing to grow as both a driver and a young person. Thank you!
