Pembrey Race Report : JSCC rounds 10-12

Quali: P4/P4/P3. I couldn't quite replicate my late Friday testing pace. Still, we could race from there!

Race 1: P4>P1 before red flag. P1>P1 on restart. Fantastic!- my maiden win!

Got a good start and together with first corner battling in front, I came through in P1. I was starting to build a gap when the race was red flagged. A solid restart and after a couple of close laps, I was able to get my head down and pull a comfortable gap whilst the cars behind battled for the remaining podium places.

Race 2: P4 > P8 - Frustrating!

Another good start up to P3 but my fronts started to go off with around five minutes to go and the cars behind reeled me in. Rear and then side contact caused me to drop down the order and ultimately come home P8.

Race 3: P3>P1 before red flag. P1>P5 on restart. %$&*ing frustrating!

Mega start and up to P2. Then on the next lap, a wicked move up to P1 under braking at the hairpin. With Ollie and Martin battling behind, I'd just started to pull a small gap when at around half way, the race was red flagged.

I got away well at the restart, pulling a small gap, but then I had a moment going into turn one , onto the grass and rejoined P5! It was then a battle to salvage what I could. I momentarily got back to P4 but lost it again to come home P5.

All in all, a top weekend. The pace was strong and I was especially proud of the stronger race craft, which is now shining through. Really looking forward now to Snett in a few weeks!

Good to see that everyone involved in shunts over the weekend were okay.
