Kai Ferner (KTFRacer) Biography

Kai Ferner, known by his racing moniker KTFRacer, is an inspiring go-kart driver with aspirations to make his mark in the competitive world of motorsport. His journey is a testament to determination, resilience, and an unwavering passion for racing.

Born on the autistic spectrum and living with global developmental delay, Kai has faced unique challenges throughout his life. Early milestones such as walking and talking came later than usual - walking at age two and speaking at age four. Even now, Kai continues to work hard to catch up with his peers, while navigating sensory sensitivities and social difficulties. These hurdles, however, have never dampened his spirit or his drive to excel.

Kai's love for karting began unexpectedly when he attended a go-kart birthday party in 2022. From the moment he sat in the driver’s seat, his fearless approach and natural affinity for racing were evident. Encouraged by his newfound passion, Kai began karting regularly with his dad before joining the TeamSport Dunstable Race Academy in March 2023. His progression was nothing short of remarkable:

• Within just a month, he reached the advanced level of the academy.

• In only three months, he was standing on the podium in academy races.

• At one point, he held a lap record at the TeamSport Dunstable track with a time of 36.785, a proud achievement showcasing his speed and skill.

Taking his passion outdoors, Kai transitioned to karting at Mr Karting, where he continued to hone his technique. His talent gained wider recognition when he entered the prestigious xKart Scholarship, achieving a top-20 placement out of 180 competitors. This milestone marked him as one of the sport's rising stars. He further developed his skills with DMAX Tuition at Daytona Milton Keynes and embarked on Karts to Cars coaching with the MPH Karting Academy, where he recently experienced the thrill of driving a race-spec Citroën Saxo.

Kai actively shares his journey and achievements with a growing audience on social media. He uses his professional Instagram channel @KTFRacer to highlight his milestones, engage with fans, and document his progress. Kai also showcases thrilling videos of his driving on his YouTube channel at KTFRacer.
