Jess Jefferson’s motorsport journey began in the most natural way possible: being around her dad, fast cars and bikes from an early age, and quickly developing a real passion for anything with an engine. Like many drivers, she had a short spell karting as a youngster, but it was enough to spark the competitive edge and appetite for speed that still drives her today. Rather than stopping there, Jess wanted a bigger challenge, something more exciting and more closely aligned with her ambition, and circuit racing became the obvious next step. That desire to keep pushing forward has shaped the path she has taken so far.

After exploring her options, Jess and those around her chose the BRSCC Fiesta Juniors as the right place to begin her car-racing journey. She now has her own car, but, as with many young drivers getting established, testing and track time have been limited by financial constraints. Even so, she has taken an important step by getting out on track and starting to build real racing experience. To date, Jess has completed her first weekend of racing and taken part in three races, gaining valuable mileage and learning lessons that only competition can provide.

Those first results show real promise. In a grid of 30 cars, Jess finished 26th, 24th and 21st, which is a strong effort given the level of experience around her and the fact that she is still at the beginning of her circuit-racing career. More than just numbers, those results demonstrate determination, adaptability and the ability to keep improving under pressure. Jess is focused on proving her place in motorsport through hard work, skill and ambition on every lap, and her progress makes her an exciting driver to support.
