Superone Rounds 5&6 Clay Pigeon

🏁 Super One Rounds 5 & 6 – Clay Pigeon | June 2026

After the excitement of my first Super One podium at GYG, it was time for another new challenge as we headed to Clay Pigeon Raceway for Rounds 5 & 6 of the 2026 Super One Series.

Once again, this was a circuit I'd never raced at before, so Friday practice was all about learning the track, finding my pace and getting ready for the weekend.

By the end of Friday I was feeling confident, and it looked like we had the pace to run inside the top ten.

Round 5 – Saturday

Saturday started really well when I put together a strong qualifying session to take P5, my best national qualifying result so far.

Unfortunately, the weather changed dramatically afterwards, bringing wet, windy and difficult conditions.

We struggled to generate enough temperature in the tyres and, combined with several false starts, incidents and getting caught behind slower starters, I couldn't make the progress we'd hoped for.

I eventually finished the Final in P13.

It wasn't the result we wanted after qualifying P5, but it was another opportunity for me to gain experience racing in difficult conditions.

Round 6 – Sunday

Sunday was dry and we knew we had better pace than our P16 qualifying position showed.

Heat 1 didn't get off to the best start when I was spun around on the opening lap and dropped all the way to the back.

I could easily have given up, but instead I put my head down and started fighting my way back through the field. I recovered to P15, and although that might not look like a standout result on paper, it was one of the drives I was most proud of from the weekend.

Heat 2 was much stronger. The kart felt great and I made my way through the field to finish P8.

Then came the Final.

I got a brilliant start and quickly began making up places, working my way all the way into the top five before the race was red flagged.

Unfortunately, the restart put everyone back into their original starting positions, meaning all the places I'd gained were lost. I pushed again after the restart and eventually crossed the line in P10.

But the weekend wasn't finished just yet...

I was awarded the Top Rookie Trophy for Round 6! 🏆

Receiving the trophy was a really proud moment and another achievement from my first season racing at national level.

Clay Pigeon was definitely a weekend of ups and downs. The final results didn't always show the pace we had, but I learned a lot, experienced another completely new circuit and kept fighting even when things didn't go our way.

Best of all, we left Clay Pigeon sitting P5 in the Super One Rotax Micro Max Championship heading into the second half of the season. 🧡🏁
