Superone Rounds 3&4 GYG

🏁 Super One Rounds 3 & 4 – GYG | May 2026

Next up in my first national championship season was Rounds 3 & 4 of the Super One Series at Glan-y-Gors (GYG) in North Wales — and this turned into a weekend I'll never forget!

It was my first ever visit to GYG, and I hadn't been back in the kart since Rowrah nearly a month earlier. I'd heard a lot about GYG before we arrived and knew it was one of the fastest and most challenging circuits I had raced at so far.

Friday was all about learning the track. The changing weather made things even more difficult, but with help from everyone at XKart, I improved throughout the day and became more confident with every session.

Round 3 – Saturday

Saturday stayed dry and I continued to find more pace as I became more comfortable with the circuit.

I started the Final from P9 and had a great race, working my way forward to cross the line in P6. I was already really happy with that result considering it was my first weekend at GYG.

After the race, we heard that there might be some changes to the results, so we waited for the official classification.

Eventually it was confirmed — I'd finished P3! 🥉🏆

My first ever national championship podium and my first Super One podium!

It was an amazing feeling and something I'll always remember, especially achieving it during my first season in national karting and on my first visit to GYG.

Round 4 – Sunday

After Saturday's podium, I couldn't wait to get back out there on Sunday.

I had another strong day, including a drive from P9 to P4 in Heat 1. Heat 2 was more difficult, with a dropped nose penalty moving me back to P15 in the official results.

That meant another fight through the field in the Final. Starting P9, I worked my way forward to finish P6, bringing home another trophy and completing a brilliant weekend.

To come away from my first visit to GYG with a P3 national podium, a P6 trophy finish and P4 in the championship standings was more than I could have hoped for.

It was a huge confidence boost and showed me how much progress we'd made since the beginning of the season.

Definitely one of the highlights of my first year in national karting! 🧡🏁
