My name is Jason Taylor, 16, an avid sim-racer on iRacing and RFactor2, and I intend to race next season in the Fiesta Junior / Fiesta ST150 / MX5 Championship hosted by the BRSCC.

In February 2024, I partook in the BRSCC Fiesta Junior Scholarship, consisting of Media classes, Fitness courses, and of course on-track test sessions. Unfortunately, I did not make it through to the Finals, however, given my extremely short time on track, I felt a level of comfort within the car that outweighed the level of experience I had at the time. With all the circumstances considered, I progressed a lot in those areas during that time, and they will continue to grow as skills with time and practice.

I aim to have a future in the BTCC or British GT, and be the first Sim Racing-based driver to get to that level of British motorsport if I can find a space on the Fiesta Junior Grid next season. With next season being my last chance to get on the Junior grid (As I will be turning 17 in late July), then for the next season move up to the ST240 grid to continue to hone my skills.
