First Motorsport UK event and a big step towards coming off the novice plate, marking an exciting new chapter for Iris Creese in the FEKC 2026 Championship

Round 3 of the FEKC 2026 Championship was a big step for me, and my first Motorsport UK event, which makes it a really exciting moment in this season.
Day one was all about testing, preparing the kart and learning the track. On day two it was straight into racing with a warm-up, three heats and a final. As a novice, I had to start from the back in each heat, but I was pleased to make progress every time, despite mechanical issues that kept interrupting the day.
That was enough to put me P5 on the grid for the B final. The problems continued there, but I still managed to bring it home in P7 and set my fastest lap of the day.
It was a scrappy weekend but still valuable seat time, learning and fun.
A huge thank you to everyone supporting me - particularly my team (Coles), mechanic (Tom) and engineer/coach (Connor), plus my Race Partners: Six Property Consulting, Hewer, Studio Fourteen and GWCE.
I’m taking the positives forward and looking ahead to Round 4 in June.
