Hi - My name is Arabella, I am 6 years old, and I want to be a racing driver.

On my 5th birthday my grandmother got me an off-road land rover experience day at Three Sisters Racetrack and that's where I discovered I wanted to race. The instructor commented on how quickly I was able to control the car and do sophisticated maneuvers. He walked me over to the track and showed me the race that was happening, and I knew straight away I wanted to be a part of it.

Over the next few months, I was constantly observing the road when my parents would drive, how they steered, changed gears and if they were speeding! My neighbor's noticed how keen I was to drive and gifted me their sons old pedal go kart. I would spend hours on the drive, garden and the park seeing how fast I could go.

It was just after my 6th birthday in February 2024 that my parents took me to Whilton Mill Racetrack where I got my first experience in an electric go-kart on an actual karting racetrack. It was brilliant and I enjoyed it so much that I begged my parents to take me again!

They enrolled me in a ready to race program with the Global Karting League founded by former Formula 1 Ferrari race engineer Rob Smedley. Over the next few weeks, I was improving and learnt more skills at Shenington Racetrack with their race coaches.

I recently was signed off ready to race and took part in my first rookie race the day after where I posted times 2 seconds off the top drivers in the under 8 Bambino category and I hope to continue to improve and gain a podium finish at round 2 in May and round 3 in June.
