Hi There!
It’s a pleasure to meet you, and thank you for viewing my profile!
As you’ll already be aware, my name is Rory…. Yes yes… like the race car! So with that said, it was only natural that racing runs through my veins!
Competing started at the age of 3, by the way of an RC model car. It was only Natural that at some point, I wouldn’t want to be driving from the sidelines, and I’d have the burning desire to get behind the wheel and be in the thick of this adrenaline pumping sport!
….So along came the GoKart! Supported by Family, this was the start of fuelling what today, I’d call my ‘true love’, my ‘first love’, my ‘life’….. MOTORSPORT!
So of course, it became busy! Single seater Formulas (Formula Vee and Formula 750) and presently competing in MINI CHALLENGE in my beautiful BMW MINI R56s to which 2023 saw us earn several podium places and bring home the silverware!
I also made my passion my work, became an engineer spending hundreds of hours restoring classic cars, a supercar instructor, known as ‘The McLaren Man’, progressing to an event manager within the industry. Topped off with becoming a Licensed and recognised motorsport coach with MSUK and ARDS qualified instructor I think it’s fair to say… I’m invested in the sport!
By now, you’re probably thinking, ‘this dude likes his cars’. Simply put, Motorsport is addictive… it’s heart pumping, thrilling, nerve wrecking..…. Sometimes disappointing! But absolutely… so unbelievably REWARDING!
One thing you’ll never hear me say, is that Motorsport is a ‘solo’ sport. IT IS NOT. In every sense, it’s a TEAM sport. And Success is only equal to the team you have supporting you so please… come on board, be part of this success.
