The Kart Championships Autumn Cup 2025 Race Report

Last November, I took part in my first race in senior rotax at warden law in the @thekartchamps autumn cup. It was a rly positive weekend for me and this is how it went!
Qualifying —> qualifying went rly well and I managed to place 16th out of 32, out qualifying more experienced drivers.
Heat 1 —> this was definitely an experience as I had to start midfield in the rain on a rolling start. The nerves kicked in and I managed to start near to the back of the grid instead of 16th 😬
Heat 2 —> I managed to just about hold my position this time and started the race in terrible conditions (slide 5). The weather was that bad that the race had to be pushed back to the next day
Heat 2 (the next day) —> this race started bright and early, 8:45 😖, and I definitely struggled in this heat as the track conditions weren’t great.
Super heat 1 —> started from the back this time due to my heats. Due to great tactical thinking from the team, we decided to go onto wet tyres which is where I made lots of positions as everyone else had slicks on when the track was still a bit greasy. Despite this I had a faulty power valve which traced back to a damaged ECU so I ended up coming last as I had little to no power out of the corners.
Super heat 2 —> I rly struggled in this heat as there was a singular damp patch on a certain part of the circuit where I struggled to find control. I tried to attempt an overtake on this damp patch which resulted in me spinning out 🤦♀️
The final —> this was a rly positive finish to the end of my first race weekend as I placed 28/32 which still wasn’t expected and I managed to hold a gap between me and the drivers behind despite my head feeling like it was about to fall off 😅
Big thanks to my team for the support over the weekend and another big thankyou to my sponsor @skinnergatecycles
