After two decent qualifiers and a good first race some controversy followed in the second race

Last Sunday I started started the first qualifier for round three of the winter championship after a couple of spins early in the session ( partly due to cold tyres) I was able to find a rhythm and got p8 in that session and p6 in my second and final session qualifying a decent p13 out of 22 and with the races being split into two an A race and a B race I found myself lining up p3 in the B race . After a poor reaction off the start, I was vulnerable to p4 for the first lap -having to defend as much as possible. I held up p4 for a while but they faced some pressure from the kart behind them letting me pull away as they fought for the position. This allowed me to set my sights on p2 . A couple of laps later i was within 5 tenths of p2. I thought that I had more pace than them so I knew that if I did not get a move done quickly i would be letting p1 get away from me and reduce my chances being able to contend for the win. After half a lap, p2 went wide going into the first of the 3 straights with the next corner being a tight hairpin - there I tried to get alongside into the corner but had to bail just before the braking zone. With a better exit than p2 i was able position myself on the outside of p2 into the next corner ( a very tight hairpin) and I was able to make the move stick and then put all my focus onto the driver in p1 . In three laps time I was able to bridge the 2.5 second gap to p1 being within distance to possibly make an overtake but after 3 laps of trying to get past I saw that the lapped karts were getting the checkered flag which ment I only had half a lap to get an overtake done but after a poorly judged divebomb I couldn’t find the confidence to try anything irrational and had to settle for p2 in the first of the two races . With p1 from the last race being bumped up to the a race I would be lining up in p1 and was very nervous because it was raining and I knew that the chance of a lap one incident would be increased. Unfortunately, I was correct - after p2 miscalculated their braking point they had to brake erratically going into the second corner off the start causing a chain reaction. Most of the karts had to brake very quickly but p4 couldn’t react in time causing him to shunt into p3 that then hit p2 and then finally into leading me to drop back into p3 . 1 lap later I got past p2 but I was too late and p1 had built too big a gap to be able to catch up. So, after a relatively boring few laps the race ended and with me in p2 I wasn’t able to progress into the A race but it was still a decent result which leaves me 5 th in class only 2 points behind 4th and 4 points behind third . If you have read this far I assume you may be interested to in sponsering me if so please don’t hesitate i really need a knew helmet because mine is to small and isn’t fia approved so if I ever move to a catagory that requires an fia aproved helmet I would not be able to compete
