The story of the EM2 and what inspired me to start racing
Lock down 2020 I brought a Honda Civic em2 as a champaign gold show car, on air ride to use for a while and then sell on, however the engine decided to seize which left me with 2 choices, sell it as spares or repaires or engine swap it. A K20A2 come up for sale at a decent price and some kswap mounts, so I thought why not go for it and the lockdown build began! My next intention was just to have it as a fun basic track car but things very quickly snowballed,.Changing all the suspension, getting the bodywork fixed and resprayed , stripping all the interior and then booked it in for a roll cage to be fitted at Tylah motorsport. It was here my intrest in racing really took off as I would hear the story’s of the team at race days with battles that they had on track, I then got invited to do my first trackday in their Renault Clio. With a bit of training fromJohn who was the 2022 track-day championship winner. At the end of the trackday my heart was set on doing more and working towards getting my race license so I could join the team and compete alongside them. After a lot of hard work throughout the years I finally got my license and the car was ready to compete, which brings us to today where I am competing in the my first series, the Trackday championship in class D!
