An opportunity for Jenson Turnock to try a new track and add to his driving and racing skills on a testing track for all drivers.

Certainly the weekend and track delivered a brilliant weekend full of great racing and a good amount of incidents involving many drivers. A very competititive weekend on the track, yes some frustrations and inevitable spare parts needed but an excellent addition to our 2026 series.

Jenson update

Round 2 of T4 UK series Fulbeck - race report 

Heat 1, P6-P13❌  Not the best start to the day. On alpha time I was supposed to be starting P4 rather than P6 but the stewards changed the order on the dummy grid for some unknown reason. As the race started everyone in my row got break checked into T1, causing me to get a drop nose cone penalty. After the first lap melee I would emerge P9 but I would slip down to P11. After penalties were applied I would come home in p13.

Heat 2, P8-P7✅ A great race, scrapping with drivers for the majority of the race whilst trying to keep in touch with those ahead. I would cross the line P8, 6 tenths off P7 but would be promoted up to P7 after a 3s penalty for the driver ahead.

Heat 3, P1-P4❌ Possibly my best race of the day despite losing positions. I fought and battled hard crossing the line in P6 but would be promoted to P4 after penalties for other drivers.

Final, P10-P12❌ I would start P10 however, this is because penalties from heats had not yet been applied yet. This was completely baffling in my opinion as it changed the grids for the final completely. A good start for me however would see me up to P7 immediately. While pushing to try overtake the driver ahead, I made a silly mistake, clipping the wall and bending my steering column. I would still complete the race finishing P12, just 1 second behind the fight for 9th. Ultimately I am frustrated and I have let myself down with that mistake but the heats and early stages of the final showed real promise and proved I am able to fight the very quickest drivers in T4 juniors.

I am next racing and hoping to bounce back  on May 10th competing in R4 of the Clay Pigeon kart championship - The wessex cup.
