I was honoured to race in Noah Media's Wings For Life charity event at Buckmore Park against legendary former F1 and WEC driver Mark Webber.

I was given an incredible opportunity to take part in a 3 hour charity race, for Wings For Life. As well as Mark Webber, there were many other talented drivers from different disciplines across a number motorsport categories.
During practice and qualifying sessions, our team managed to secure pole position with strong performance. However, since this was a charity race, a ‘Bid for Grid’ system was implemented, allowing teams to improve their starting positions by donating to Wings For Life. As a result, despite qualifying first, we started the race from the back of the grid. It was a unique format that added an interesting twist to the event and helped raise funds for a great cause.
As the race started, we quickly made strong progress in the first stint, navigating traffic cleanly and avoiding any issues. When I took over for the fourth stint, we were within striking distance of the podium. I soon caught up to Mark Webber on track, which was an exciting surprise. We engaged in a close battle for over half a lap, each pushing hard and defending our positions. Eventually, I managed to overtake him, which was a proud moment and a real highlight of my day.
At the end of the race our team finished in 3rd position out of 13 teams, this was a strong result considering we started last. Not only that but we helped raise over £10,000. I massively enjoyed the experience as I raced against professional drivers who had been racing for decades. I hope I will be able to take part in more events like this in the near future for good causes. This experience truly opened my eyes to the possibilities ahead and inspired me to believe in a greater future in racing.
