Back too clay IKR where something special happened.

Clay pigeon is my local track so i was anticipating a good finish in this round of the ikr but was not overconfident by any means anything can happen and it usually does as the great murrey walker used to say.
A wet quali was challenging after a few changes between practice and quali to a full wet setup we were confident of a good showing and thats what we got i felt comfortable in the rain and qualified 2nd in the juniors 3 tenths off a seasoned driver on pole i was happy with that.
So we started heat 1 in 2nd place and i was happy and comfortable too be there our setup was good and that showed in the race are pace getting stronger as the laps played out and managing too pass p1 as his tyres overheated too finish p1 4 seconds ahead of the field my 1st win in Tillotson T4s i was sooo happy.
Pre-final was a bit more of a challenge the track was drying now and we had decided not too change anything untill the final so we arrived on the grid 1st in juniors with a wet setup intermediate tyres on (worn wets) hoping that would be enough this was tricky the kart was difficult too drive but i persivered a great battle with 3rd place behind me i managed too hold 2nd after 1st got away so i was pleased with that result.
Final we set the kart for fully dry conditions and the kart was flying in the final my laptimes were comparable too p1s pace but i just lost touch with him and the only senior driver i the field and lost the tow which ment i could claw 1/2 tenths back but would then loose that as they had the draft so i tried to push as hard as i could also mindfull that i didnt want too make a mistake too loose 2nd which would of been a disaster so i brought it home for a second place finish in the final very happy with my day.
Thanks for all the support guys really does mean alot .
