The Fiesta Junior Championship is one of the UK’s premier junior tin-top series, providing 14–17-year-old drivers with an affordable and professionally run first step into circuit racing. Organised by the British Racing and Sports Car Club, it uses carefully controlled Mk7 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S-based race cars built to a single technical specification, delivering safe, modern and closely matched machinery that rewards racecraft rather than budget. With strong average grid sizes, a supportive “Fiesta family” paddock culture and direct links into senior touring car, GT and endurance pathways, it has become a recognised feeder for categories such as TCR UK and BTCC-linked programmes, helping young talent develop driving skills, technical understanding and off-track professionalism that will serve them throughout their careers.

Fiesta Junior Championship 2026Upcoming

The 2026 Fiesta Junior Championship will continue the BRSCC’s entry-level touring car pathway for 14–17-year-olds, using one-make Fiesta machinery to provide close, affordable and instructive racing. Building on the strong 2025 programme, the series is expected to retain its mix of high-profile circuits, tightly controlled technical regulations and a strong driver development focus, including scholarship-backed newcomers. Competitors gain vital racecraft, media and fitness experience as they prepare for progression into senior touring car, GT or single-seater categories across the UK ladder.
